Another classic Cincinnati chili diner. The inside of Chili Time even looks like a diner, with a J-shaped counter, rows of booths, and a few stand-alone tables. The menu ranges well beyond the Cincy chili parlor staples of 5-ways, coneys, and double-deckers. For one thing, Chili Time is open for breakfast (get your Goetta here) and what I almost always eat. Even though one of the Big 2 chili parlors is within 500 ft of this place, I always come here. It was started in the 1940s and has only this location. There is also something nice about fresh preparation of your food when you order. It is what it is...just a great locally owned diner offering healthy portions of well known simple food. A couple of odds and ends: - This place is a 1 mile walk from my office, and I happily make it to eat here. -They have a nice sized parking lot. -Like most Chili parlors, the menus are on the table, so if you are in a hurry you can order at first contact with the waitress. My normal turnaround time from going in the front door to leaving is about 25 minutrs. Upon reflection, maybe I eat too fast. -As an added bonus, you can try to decipher the code the waitresses transcribe your order into for the cook It's like Sudoku level 10 stuff.

Pretty cool classic chili parlor in a very cool part of St. Bernard. They have plenty of parking which is nice. I got inside and sat at the bar. It turns out it's closed because of Covid and I had to move to a booth. The service was quick and friendly. The kitchen was slinging plenty of gossip but that just added entertainment value. I ordered two coneys with mustard and onions, fries, and a Coke. Their chili is a little runnier than most of the others I've tried so the bun was pretty mushy but the flavor was good and it didnt keep me from enjoying it. I would definitely come here again if I was in the area.

One of the best cheese coneys in Cincinnati. Haven't had a bad meal here yet. Crinkle fries are crispy. Not over cooked. I do wish they would add the chili pepper back to their recipe but I understand why it was removed.

This baby gets FIVE stars because it excels at what it purports to be - a Cincinnati Chili joint with a thick patina of storied decades. I'll be honest - I'm no fan of what is known as "Cincy-Style Chili" - having first tried it at the SkyLine Chili in Naples, FL years ago. The notion of cinnamon in chili rubs me the wrong way - and spaghetti not al dente has never been my jam. Nonetheless, this place serves up a spectrum of Chili concoctions to please various palates. Service was cheerful and swift. Open-air kitchen very clean, as well as the dining room. I asked the server to surprise me with an order - something that they would stand behind as a "signature dish". She said she had just the thing. "Just the thing" turned out to be two chili dogs with heaps of cheese, and then a heap of quite good French fries with larger heaps of shredded cheese. I applaud those among us that can take in that much cheese - the photos don't provide true justice. It's a magnificent amount - and given that in the old days, this sort of cheese may have been called "Government Cheese", I suspect it's easy on the bottom line. I'd wager food costs here are well below 20%. Definitely come here - it's a charming diner in the most classic sense of Americana. I'm happy I came!

A small, independent chili parlor that will fill you up and let you hold on to some of your money. Their chili has more flavor (and less water) than the big boys, and they have a more varied menu. Great vegetable soup. Good deli roast beef for a double decker. Come in and try anything on the menu. You'll be back.

I AM HEARTBROKEN Chili time changed their hours. No longer are they the post-night out spot as they close at 1am on weekends and even earlier on week days I still give it 4 stars because of all the memories.. but no longer is it always "Chili Time"
